Erie Regional Planning Commission Starts New Freight Plan Update –Stakeholder Survey Now Open
Background
The Erie Regional Planning Commission (ERPC) MPO (Metropolitan Planning Organization) is updating its 2013 Freight Plan which will examine current issues and identify opportunities for the movement of goods across the MPO’s transportation network.
The update is being completed in two phases where phase one should be completed in June and phase two will begin in July and completed by the end of the year. Phase one includes the analysis of existing freight data and phase two will produce policy and project recommendations. Both phases include opportunities for freight stakeholders and the public to share firsthand perspectives on infrastructure, operations, safety, and related topics with us and the project team.

As such, a brief confidential survey is available for anyone that would like to share how they feel the area’s transportation network currently performs and how it could be enhanced to improve the movement of goods.
