2024 Tax Proposed Budget
Perkins Township Administrator Gary Boyle and the Fiscal Officer work with the Department supervisors each year to complete a yearly budget. The hearing for the 2024 Budget was held on June 27, 2023 at 8:30 am in the Meeting Room of the Perkins Township Service Complex at 2610 Columbus Avenue. The hearing was open to all residents of Perkins Township. Once adopted by the Perkins Township Trustees, the 2024 Budget will be filed with the Erie County Budget Commission by the due date of July 20, 2023.
The Perkins Township Trustees passed Resolution 2023-114, adopting the 2024 Tax Budget on July 11, 2023. The 2024 Tax Budget was filed with the Erie County Auditor on July 18, 2023.
In January of each year the Erie County Budget Commission will certify an Amended Certificate of Estimated Resources for the fiscal year beginning January 1st.
The funds are a combination of tax dollars, other income estimated to be received by the Township, and rollover funds from the previous year. Rollover funds are those amounts not already committed for specific purchases or expenses. Once the amounts of the rollover funds are determined, the Board of Trustees will adopt the Permanent Budget no later than March 31st.
The Perkins Township Board of Trustees adopted Resolution #2024-029 to approve the 2023 Permanent Appropriations on February 13, 2024
