Captain Curran was promoted on Tuesday, September 12th!
Captain Curran began his part-time employment with the Perkins Township Police Dept. in June of 2004. He was promoted to full-time one year later. In his 19 years with the department:
He brought back the K9 program in 2011 and now supervises the program.
He established the food and toy drives that are held each year.
He was promoted to Sergeant in 2016.
In 2020 he began supervising the FTO program and the Detective Bureau.Chief Musser states, “the most important leadership skill Captain Curran possesses is his high character, both as an officer and as an individual. It is my honor to recommend his promotion to Captain.”
